Xbox: Official Video Game Console of FIFA
Xbox takes the goal by being the official licensed game console of the 2006 FIFA World Cup. As part of this promotion Xbox has released an exclusive FIFA World Cup bundle for the Xbox 360 which includes the Core System console, an exclusively designed FIFA World Cup face plate, a copy of the 2006 FIFA World Cup game by EA and a replica of the official World Cup match ball, all for £259.99 (around $488 USD).
XBox Live members can also now download England’s official World Cup anthem by Embrace titled “World at your Feet” along with the video until the 2nd of June.
In cooperation with Britvic, they have created a campaign called “What’s in your Locker?” that will give an XBox 360 to a lucky son of a gun every 90 minutes for the duration of the FIFA World Cup. The ads will feature England stars David Beckham, John Terry and Paul Robinson.
In a unique promotion, consumers will have the chance to win the new Xbox 360 entertainment console (RRP £279.99) and a game every 90 minutes via a unique text and win code.
“Forget about Ronaldinho and Ronaldo, we’ve got the greatest partnership in world football. The strategic partnership of Pepsi and Xbox is one of our biggest and most exciting promotions ever.” said Stephen McGill, Head of Marketing Xbox & Games.
