XRakPro2 Mutes Apple’s Xserve

Apple’s Xserve is as powerful as it is noisy. Not a very appealing combination. But if you’re stuck with it, GizMac Accessories has an Xserve-muting solution you might want to check out. The XRackPro2 is a 4U noise reduction enclosure that can fit underneath or on top of a desk, clearly a feature that will appeal to smaller customers. GizMac already sells 25U and 12U systems as well.  The 4U enclosure will be available with legs or wheels and has lockable doors. It will also hold rack-mount servers from other vendors as well.

Gizmac guarantees that the noise from equipment mounted inside the XRackPro2 will be reduced by as much as 75%, thanks to the careful acoustic engineering that muffles the buzzing sounds of the Xserve.
