Yahoo! spreads Wii love, opens portal
And the Wii love just spreads far and wide, especially now that Yahoo! has even opened up a portal which is dedicated solely to Nintendo’s fun-loving console. At the moment, the portal features a stream of photos from Flickr which bear the tag “Wii”. On top of that, all Wii-related querries from their service Yahoo! Answers are also directed to the front page, as well as Wii news which are taken from Del.icio.us and MyWeb.
The page also bears special features for Wii titles, and just to top ot all off, several new items have been added to Yahoo! Avatars so that you can show your YM buddies just how much you love your Wii. These items include a white Wii t-shirt, your avatar holding a Wiimote, or your avatar with the Wiimote and Nunchuck attachment slung around the shoulders. Personally, I picked the Wii background for my own avatar.
So, with all this celebration going on around the Wii, will Yahoo be opening a similar page for the PS3 soon…?
