Yamauchi: GT5 Japan delay is because it isn’t finished yet
Yes, you surmised as much. Gran Turismo 5 is delayed yet again because it’s still not finished. No less than Polyphony Digital big boss, Kazunori Yamauchi, confirmed this fact in an interview with USA Today.
Yes, you surmised as much. Gran Turismo 5 is delayed yet again because it’s still not finished. No less than Polyphony Digital big boss, Kazunori Yamauchi, confirmed this fact in an interview with USA Today.
Yamauchi revealed in the interview that the game, simply put, isn’t done up until now. If it’s any consolation though, it’s definitely nearing completion. “About 90% of the game is done. We are just working on the last 10% and polishing everything up.” That’s definitely an improvement from the 65% completion they reported back in September, right?
Anyway, he also said that the PlayStation Motion Controller will also be incorporated in the game, albeit can only be used in certain sections of the game. “I might be used to maybe control the user interface like you would a mouse, but that’s the extent we would use it for,” he explained.
Now, instead of a “March 2010” release date for Japan, they’re back to that frustrating “TBA” slate. As for Europe, it’s coming “in due course”.
