You can win a million bucks playing MLB 2K10. Seriously

mlb2k102K Sports is very proud of the revamped pitching mechanics that they’ve implemented in MLB 2K10. In fact, they’re so proud that they’re giving a million bucks (yes, US$ 1,000,000), to the first guy who pitches a perfect game. Think you’re the baddest closer on the mound?

Yes, the banner says quite a lot – a million bucks is a serious amount of cash. The first guy to pitch a perfect game gets to take it home. There are, of course, rules:

  • You must do so within the first 60 days of release – contest period begins on release day, March 2nd, 2010, at 12:00:01 AM PST, and ends 11:59:59 PM on May 1st.
  • The contest is valid only for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, despite the game coming to the PS2, PSP, Wii, DS and PC as well.

First of all, you gotta play against the AI in the MLB Today mode, where all the settings will be set to default. Second, you have to record the entire game and put it on a DVD. Knowing that such a bounty would attract millions of frauds and scammers, 2K Sports has enlisted Twin Galaxies to help them verify the entries.

If no one manages to do so within the given period, oh well, 2K Sports gets to keep their million bucks.
