How do you know you’re fighting a skilled player in Blizzard‘s World of Warcraft? That question never occurred to me, because I always thought that I knew when I was fighting a skilled player… if I died.

On the World of Warcraft Europe forums, WoW player Eight posted a rather comprehensive post about the said topic. He gave very good observations on each class and the common tactics that each class employs if the player piloting is good. One of the observations he gave that really struck home was “Helps his teammates when needed, and doesn’t just go solo-pew-pew all the time.” for the shaman. This is so true and we wish more shamans would do it.

Another point he brought up was the fact that warriors have to protect their healers at all costs. This is very important, especially in team battles where the healers are the lifeblood of the team. I’ve seen some crazy Warriors just go into a blood rage and start charging in leaving the healers undefended. Yup, we were slaughtered that day, but we learned a very valuable lesson.
