You photoshopped a Wii DVD too late, buddy

Look before you leap, all ye who want to follow in the footsteps of the Sonic – HITCHED! photoshop artist. Someone decided to create this beautiful piece of work and, via the rumor mill, passed it off to Kotaku as “Nintendo’s Wii-d” DVD peripheral. Apparently, either somebody’s been living under a rock, or that somebody’s simply not reading the news.

Everyone who’s covered the Wii this past month knows that Nintendo nixed the DVD option almost two weeks ago. Ninty said it wanted to keep costs down as much as possible.

It could be that Nintendo plans to surprise the whole world with this later… Nah. Nintendo US reiterated when asked by Kotaku that there are no plans to manufacture a DVD box for the Wii. Man, all that work for a beautiful piece of… lies, all down the drain because it’s two weeks too late.
