You totally saw this coming: Modern Warfare 2 street date broken

Modern Warfare 2 - Image 1The official launch of Modern Warfare 2 is only a couple of snoozes away, but apparently, it just can’t wait. Kotaku reports that GameStops in New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio have already begun selling the game. According to a GameStop employee from Bowling Green, Ohio, Activision actually gave them special permission to start selling early in order to win customers back from street-breaking mom-and-pop stores. Some have reported that they have received copies as early as last week.

Modern Warfare 2 is (apparently) available now (in some areas) for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. But you’ve probably known that for a few days, yes?
