Nintendo has decided to go with the “Windwaker” look for this handheld version of Zelda. Since the strong point of the NDS is cell shading, it is understandable that this is like it is. We all would’ve liked to see the N64 versions ported, but it is good to see that Nintendo is thinking about what they want and making new games for their beautiful system!
