Armed robber “consoled” by 360

The London News - Armed man is consoled by Xbox 360 - Image 1

Just a little spin off of The London News’ own crafty title (hats off to you!), this little story with the catchy headliner is a lot funnier once you read the story. A Blockbuster shop in Thornton Heath in south London was robbed by an armed man wielding a black handgun.

The Xbox is also fun, too! - Image 1The man demanded for a unit of the PlayStation 3, which recently hit Europe and the UK. But because the store didn’t have any of Sony‘s next gen console in stock, he “grudgingly” accepted an Xbox 360 instead. In addition to grabbing what the paper seems to assume as Microsoft‘s Xbox 360 Elite, the robber also made off with more than GBP 500 in goods.

Before making a getaway, he also grabbed a handful of Xbox 360 games. The two female members of the staff who were on duty remained unharmed, although the police did not arrive in time because they were sent to the wrong Blockbuster store.

Still can’t get the title? Try putting some emphasis on the second syllable than on the first. Photo courtesy of Jon in Kotaku.
