BakonICE 1.3 - Image 1PSP dev NoEffex sent me a PM down at the forums informing me of the latest version of his program, BakonICE, the “one and only up-to-date SOCOM Fireteam Bravo Two cheat device.”

Now on version 1.3, the program has several new features, but the main update is support for old kernels, which the author got pummeled by requests for. Here’s what NoEffex says about old kernel support (more info in the changelog below):

The main thing is the old kernel support, which supports 3.80-(dunno how far it goes, but it works fine on 3.52, with the exception of 3.71, due to it’s oddball nature).

And here’s the changelog:

  • Fixed a lag out issue happening in ad-hoc
  • Removed the hijack room and replaced the menu slot with no-fog
  • Now, if you use the old kernel version, you can use it on 3.80- (with the exception of 3.71), I donÂ’t know how far down it goes, but it goes down probably to 3.40. I did test it on 3.52 with success.
  • Auto-Finds the off value in the custom menu
  • Replaced the target lock code on the base UI to “Shoot Explosives To Nowhere”
  • Made using the hotkeys a bit more clear to the user
