Elebits display at TGS 2006

For a game with a relatively serious premise, exploited energy-generating creature goes on strike, Konami‘s Elebits is amazingly cute and fun. Kudos to Konami for turning a reputable weapon of geek machismo and destruction (the gravity gun), and making it something that you won’t be afraid to give to your six year old brother.

If you haven’t been convinced by the numerous screenshots that have been floating around, take a look at shots of the Elebits display at the Tokyo Game Show 2006.

See? Those cute little bits have enough cuteness in them to drain a small child’s IQ. Also, take the time to observe that odd blue thing underneath the monitor on the rightmost thumbnail. Is that particular Elebits based on a penguin that’s been genetically altered to look like a gumdrop?
