There’s another compelling evidence of a new Sony SKU, and this time it’s just about as conclusive as the FCC documents: an online ad listing Blu-ray Player models, as well as PlayStation 3 models eligible for a Blu-ray movie promotion.
The online ad lists the model number CECHG01 as one of the qualifying PlayStation 3 models for the free five Blu-ray movie offer. If you can recall one of our earlier reports, there were also talks that the FCC documents referred to a new controller that Sony is currently testing – they referred to it as CECHG01. However, with the model number being listed as a PlayStation 3 model here in this ad, you could consider the controller rumor debunked.
