N64 Virtual Console minus the “rumble”

N64Michael Buffer, the American boxing announcer, immortalized the catchphrase “Let’s get ready to rumble!” When the Wii launches in a couple of days, it’s a crying shame, but we won’t be able to say the same ourselves when it comes to N64 Virtual Console titles. Why? We’ve just learned that the Virtual Console will be unable to support force feedback.

This could be attributed to the lack of a rumble feature for the classic controller. As we are all aware, we won’t be Wiimote-ing our hearts out when playing these VC-port N64 titles. They are compatible with, as mentioned, the classic controller.

At any rate, we should just be thankful that we can still relive the good ol’ days of N64, with or without the rumble. We wonder how Buffer would react to all of this or if he’s even down with the revolution. Oh well, he’d better just keep announcin’ and we’d better just keep on gamin’…
