Whether you love it or hate it, PlayStation Home is probably one of the most anticipated upcoming services on the PlayStation 3. Too bad that players won’t be able to enjoy open spaces (and all the fun things you can do there) with their friends from other regions.

According to a report on PS3 Fanboy, the public spaces in Home will be region locked. This means that if you want to meet up with your friend from across the globe, you’re going to have to invite them into your apartment.

This region locking was supposedly made so that each user from the various regions will be having an “experience suited to their tastes.” Well, we’re not going to comment on that, but we can honestly say that region locking may be a bit of a let down for some of the gamers waiting for Home.
