The PlayStation Network is, in fact, an interactive evolving environment which opens the door to a new world of exciting entertainment opportunities. It sounds like words, but the words describe what it is. We are opening the PlayStation door, and there’s going to be a lot inside… things that you can touch, feel and download.

He also reassured that the PlayStation Network will be absolutely free to browse, offering a vast range of downloadable content for each and every fan. Well, we’re sure looking forward to whatever those contents will be. And expanding the PlayStation’s library on things to do in the Network may only provide more and better opportunities, not only for the customers but even to Sony itself.

Reeves also revealed that they will soon be expanding their market to a wider demographic, allowing even the casual gamers to enjoy the perks of the Network. Hopefully, the appeal of the Network will be sustainable enough to keep these casual gamers coming back, and then bringing in some more new people with them to join in on the fun.

As for the benefits of coming into the PlayStation Network:

One: On-demand interactive entertainment with exclusive content. Two: You can communicate with a community of players, friends and family, and we have created space for content co-creation. Co-creation means user-generated content, content you can exchange, and eventually content you will be able to offer for sale.

You’d also be glad to know that classic PSOne games are promised to come this summer, but will “have to be repurposed for PAL territories.”

So far, according to his presentation, there are now over 400,000 PlayStation Network accounts have already been created, with 37% of PS3s registered, and raking in 400,000 daily sign-ins.
