If you’re currently experiencing several of the gameplay issues noted with the recently released next-gen console versions of Major League Baseball 2K8 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Wii, and DS), then we’ve got some good news for you. 2K Sports recently announced that it will be rolling out updates for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 versions of the game.
Specifically, the new update will take care of the framerate problems found on the Xbox 360 version. It will also correct an issue noted in Franchise mode that stopped gamers from moving players to and from the minor league roster when playing as the San Diego Padres.
Players can expect the new update to reach the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live any time soon. The developers are currently testing the update and will be putting it up once they give it their finalized seal of approval.
In addition, it was also mentioned that 2K Sports will be looking for alternative means to fix a couple of the problems noted on the Wii and PS2 versions of Major League Baseball 2K8. A representative from the company had this to say regarding the matter:
While there is currently not an update available for these platforms, as they do not yet have the network capability to issue updates, our team is working tirelessly to find other alternative solutions to provide an improved gameplay experience.
