Crysis getting ported to the PS3?

Well what do we have here? The eye-candy project we’ve come to know as Crysis slated for a PC release may very well be on its way to the Sony PlayStation 3. There were no announcements released regarding that claim, but a job vacancy announcement is hinting towards a port.

One of the responsibilities listed is “work on various aspects of porting to PS3 and creating solutions to get the utmost out of the PS3,” and another responsibility says “cross platform code development.” If we sum those two up, we might be looking at a port from PC to the PS3.

Crytek has recently talked about modding with its proprietary Crysis modding which may allow users to tinker with the game itself. Programming seems to have gotten more adventurous if a port is the next bold step in the agenda.
