PlayStation Network info leaked by Full Auto 2 producer

Take the wheel!

Recently featured in a radiOPM interview podcast from 1Up was Mike Gallo from Sega. Among a lot of other things (like the recent Kaz statement on the Rumble, and some little chit-chat about Uwe Boll), one of the points that they talked about and discussed in detail was Full Auto 2: Battlelines and its online features. More than this, he accidentally drops some hints about what the online system of the PS3 is like.

He first mentions that when you turn on the machine, you get logged on automatically (given that you configured it on the settings). Once you’re logged on with an ID and your online profile, there will be a menu option whether you want to choose ranked or unranked play. Mike Gallo continues with:

“…Then you’ll see what games are available and then jump into one of those… When you play ranked play, your stats – pretty basic set of stats: wins, losses – will get uploaded to Gamespy… You’ll be able to access it from our website as well so you can look at those stats independently of the game.”

So, the PlayStation Network is slowly showing its face. Is that even going to be its final name? How does it compare to the 360 Live network? We’re hoping to get more info on this, but meanwhile, you can hear the rest of the interview via the Read link below.
