Gears of War after hours event freebies
With the release of the Xbox 360 game Gears of War getting closer and closer, this game’s marketing team has been burning the midnight oil to make sure that its title gets all the exposure that it deserves. One of team’s latest gimmicks was the Gears of War after hours event which was held at EB Games stores in the U.S. It was previously reported that those who would be lucky enough to attend the event would all be walking away with some nice freebies, and apparently, the reports were correct.
We received the picture above in our inbox from one such lucky person, and sure enough, the Xbox/Gears of War lanyard, and the Gears of War pin and dogtag were all there. On top of that, there also seems to be a leaflet which contains a redeemable code which one can use in the Xbox Marketplace to obtain an exclusive Gears of War picture pack as well as an exclusive theme. Sweet, isn’t it? And all this, plus the fact that they got a very nice video preview of the game, too.
In any case, we’ll see if Epic Games was able to work its magic once the game hits store shelves on November 7.
Lastly, a big, giant “Thank you!” goes out to Jonathan Sandoval for sending us the photo we have here!
