DAoC grab bag: Maulers, double XP, and more
Well kiddies, it’s time once again for another grab bag! In this edition of the Dark Age of Camelot grab bag, Sanya Thomas – with some much-appreciated help from Moderately Evil Overlord Walt – answers everything from double XP inquiries straight through to questions regarding the new Mauler class, which will be making its debut on Tuesday.
Since XP is one of the main reasons an adventurer goes adventuring, let’s tackle that issue first. According to Sanya, discussions are underway regarding the matter. It’s unlikely that the double XP will become a permanent thing, some form of bonus XP feature for the game is being considered. Also, Sanya says that according to Moderately Evil Overlord Walt, the double XP bonus will be moved to Shrouded Isles while the discussions are going on.
The grab bag also included some stuff on the new Mauler class. Moderately Evil Overlord Walt says that the Mauler class unlocking quest is “per realm per cluster. In other words, Hib Palo can unlock it for all Hibernians on the entire cluster.” Speaking of Maulers, Sanya says that their RR5 ability is called the Gift of Perizor, an ability which “reduces damage on all players in the user’s group by 25% for 60 seconds. Damage reduced by this ability is returned to the user in power.”
