Tales of the World bundle + more special packs for Japan
[Insert another “Ohnoes, why does Japan always get the good stuff?” comment or any other quote of equivalent tone] because truly they do. They get all these cool stuff, and usually way before anyone else does. Sometimes even, it doesn’t even reach Western shores. But if there’s one thing that remains true for all countries though, it’s that the PSP won’t have any price cuts. So, instead of that, Sony Japan will release another bundle and some accessory packs for their market.
With the December 21 release of Tales of the World in Japan, they’re coming out with a bundle that includes a blue PSP, the game itself, a strap, a pouch, cloth, and a 32MB Memory Stick Duo. For Â¥28,000 (US$237.35), it’s a fair price for a game that’s promising to be the ultimate Tales adventure and even feature other characters from Namco Bandai‘s Tales franchise.
If RPG “tales” aren’t your thing, Sony’s going to release two special packs as well. These are like the PSP gamer’s handy kit for whatever purpose. The Play! Game Pack includes a pouch, strap, cloth, and a 32MB Memory Stick Duo, while the Enjoy! AV pack which has a USB cable, PSP stand, cloth, and remote control head set. Both retail for Â¥3,500 (US$29.67) and will be available on the 22nd of this month.
Too bad, though, because these won’t wash over to Western shores. Well, maybe the bundle won’t (since the game’s going to be Japanese – for now, at least), but no one’s preventing us from hoping the Game Pack and AV Pack somehow find themselves in broader markets as well.
