Katekyo Hitman Reborn! heading for the Wii

Get Reborn! There’s a new game that’s been announced for the Wii, and in it, you can expect your life to change drastically. So drastically, in fact, that you come back from the dead! That’s part of what you have to contend with in the Katekyo Hitman Reborn! (Tutor Hitman Reborn!).

Based on the manga by Akira Amano, Reborn! tells the story of a loser named Tsuna Sawada, who doesn’t know that he’s the last remaining heir to a mafia family. He eventually meets Reborn, his mafia tutor and hitman, who promptly shoots him with his trademark “dying will bullet”, which causes the victim to be reborn into a stronger version of himself, intent on fulfilling his final wishes.

As you can guess, Tsuna becomes a stronger version of himself and begins training to become a mafia boss in an effort to fulfill all of his dying wishes. Did we mention that he gets reborn with an undying flame on his head? No? Well, now we just did.

Marvelous Interactive recently announced this on the Japanese magazine V-Jump, so we’ll be keeping tabs on it until we hear more about Tsuna, Reborn, and their trials and tribulations. You can bet that it will eventually get released here, however, because Viz Media licensed the comic recently as well. In the meantime, you can also expect to see him as a playable character in Jump Super Stars and Jump Ultimate Stars when they come out on the DS.
