Capcom announces new VP of software publishing
Remember Mark Beaumont, the former Capcom USA Senior Vice President who was Germaine Gioia’s boss when she moved? Capcom has announced they’re promoting Mr. Beaumont to Executive Vice President of consumer software publishing in North America, South America and Europe.
“Mark has significantly and steadily grown revenue in the Americas by revamping the sales organization, driving market awareness, consolidating distribution, improving forecasting, increasing inventory control and taking two of our largest retail accounts direct,” said Capcom Europe President Hiroshi Tobisawa.
Mark, who took the Senior VP post back in 2005, will be directly reporting to Katsuhiko Ichii, Capcom’s video game business head, and Hiroshi Tobisawa, the Capcom CEO. Mark has been in the gaming industry for roughly 25 years, with varied roles in marketing, product development, general management, and lead publishing roles.
