Untitled Naughty Dog game now called Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune

Of course, they’re speculating that this is the name for Naughty Dog’s game, only because it seems like a perfect fit. The title – Drake’s Fortune – is a likely reference to Sir Francis Drake, the English navigator who had some adventures in the Caribbean and had to abandon a treasure of silver.

Naughty Dog’s trailer for their untitled game made references to lost treasure, maps, and Jungle fun.

Perfect fit? Kotaku‘s Michael McWherthor thinks so. Until we get official word that said title is really for mentioned game, we’re posting this as a rumor for now, albeit a well-founded one.

Other trademarks uncovered by user gofreak include the EYE3 logo (they speculate that this is the logo for the new Eyetoy) and a logo for SCEE‘s “beats”, which, so far, looks like a music/video distribution service more than anything else.
