Rumor: Xbox 360 Elite to be delayed

Since the official announcement that the Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite will be released in the US, there has been much conjecture on the European release of the product. However, a rumor has recently been going around, about the said version of the Xbox 360. As it goes, 360 Gamer has received word that the Xbox 360 Elite may actually be hitting European shores by as late as this November – a full six months after it is released in the U.S.

Meanwhile, 360 Gamer has made attempts to get a confirmation or denial from Microsoft, but no representative was available for comment at the time. It IS, however, known that Microsoft has been spending the past week getting in touch with publishers, and giving them information about the Elite’s European debut. On the other hand, this may leave many a European fan wondering why they will be getting a late console release yet again.

Many rumors about the Elite’s release date have been circulating, and as of the moment, the EU release date still officially remains as “TBA”. However, 360 Gamer also notes that this is one of the most solid pieces of information about the topic so far, so it may be best to take this all with a grain of salt for now, until we receive a definite answer from the MS folks.
