Available for download: Call of Duty 4 3D portrait
As indicated in the screenshot above, Infinity Ward‘s Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare video game is definitely taking steps out of the war-torn shores of Normandy, into the equally war-torn sands of a still-to-be-disclosed country.
What isn’t indicated by the screenie, however, is that it’s actually taken from an interactive 3D portrait we have below. The said portrait is a movable 360-degree view of that scene, sort of like the High-Definition equivalent of a model kit diorama. Even more interesting is that the scene’s lighting changes based on the soldiers’ and Blackhawk’s positions as you move ’em around – guys who’ve seen the game’s trailer may remember this rappelling scene halfway through the video.
Not exactly new information, but we imagine the guys looking for more game-related eye candy will be most pleased. That, and the portrait should provide for a standard upon which to base future still-shots of the in-game visuals. Enjoy the download.
