Early VC releases for Europe: Donkey Kong Country 2, Mario & Yoshi
As reported in Go Nintendo, care of reader DJcube who sent in the pic, a couple of new titles have surfaced in the Virtual Console for Europe. Some say the early roll out is due to Ascension Day for Germany, but regardless, they’ve still got new games. There are two new titles available: Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy Kong’s Quest (800 Wii Points) from the SNES and Mario & Yoshi (500 Wii Points) from the NES.
While DKC2 is a good follow up to the previous installment released a few months ago, what a lot of people seem to be talking about is Mario & Yoshi. Most people’s reactions are somewhere along the lines of “WTF is that?!” Well, to clarify things, this is one of the Yoshi puzzle games in the likes of Yoshi’s Cookie and Tetris Attack. In Europe, it was release with the “Mario & Yoshi” title, but in the U.S., it was simply called Yoshi.
