Bill Gates to do motion control?
Bill Gates may want to beat the Nintendo Wii at its motion-sensing game. Rather, that may be what he’s hinting about in his comments at the All Things D conference last week. “Software is doing vision and so, you know, imagine a game machine where you’re just going to pick up the bat and swing it or the tennis racket and swing it”, he said.
When asked if he meant doing something like Nintendo’s Wii, he only has this to say: “No, that’s not it. You can’t pick up your tennis racket. And swing it.”
It may not be a surprise to some, especially when Microsoft already made motion-sensitive controllers way, way back. Will there be new controllers for the 360, then? We’ll see. There may be something interesting coming up in the next E3.
