Two more classics rated: F-Zero X and Sonic 2
A search on the Entertainment Software Rating Board’s (ESRB) database will yield Nintendo’s approved ratings application for two more classic video game titles namely F-Zero X and Sonic the Hedgehog 2. You know the whole gig – things like these go directly to Wii online service Virtual Console.
F-Zero X is part of the F-Zero franchise and is the first one to sport 3D graphics in the series. It was developed by Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development (formerly known as RAD Team 4) and was released on the Nintendo 64 almost ten years ago. It’s a futuristic racing game with a mode that allows combat among racers.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 from Sega originally appeared in 1992 on the Sega Mega Drive/genesis. This particular installment in the franchise takes players to Sonic’s vacation spot Westside Island where Dr. Robotnik has secretly followed him after the latter’s Scrap Brain facility was destroyed.
Considered to be among the best titles to ever appear on the Mega Drive, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is the first game to introduced two-tailed fox Miles “Tails” Prower as a playable character. Interestingly enough, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has also been rated for Microsoft‘s Xbox 360 console.
There are still no official statements about these two but we’re pretty sure that the confirmations will be arriving soon. Always check back here at QJ.NET for the latest updates
