Beats of Rage v0.08 Update
Beats of Rage is one of those solid homebrew titles that just can’t be ignored. The root of Beats of rage started out with the Senile Team (who respectfully credits SNK Playmore and SEGA for images) intelligently combining aspects from Streets of Rage and King of Fighters to make one of the strongest homebrew experiences in a game ever. Releasing their code as open source and allowing fans of many systems to recreate Beats of Rage on many platforms. In addition to that there have been just as many modifications released for this game that will “skin” the characters/scenario’s to a completely different cast.
Building on PSP platform is SamuraiX, who has updated the PSP port of Beats of Rage to v0.08. In this release he has added a few nice features that open the doors to east loading of multiple new paks, updated the memory thresholds and built the newest release completely with the PSPSDK. While he reports that Sleep Mode is not yet supported, success reports with BOR have been coming in from users who are on almost all versions of PSP firmware (1.5 – 2.6). SamuraiX notes that you can place the Pak file anywhere you want and then select it. This version creates or overwrites the settings.sav file.
