Want to know why the PSP is outselling Wii in Canada?
It was just the other day when we reported that Nintendo consoles are dominating Canadian charts in terms of hardware and software sales. In the data sheet provided to Canadian press members, we saw that the Wii and DS, as well as the titles released on them, have been selling like hotcakes in the region.
In an interesting turn of events, gaming site Codename Revolution is reporting that Sony‘s handheld PlayStation Portable is currently outselling the Nintendo Wii. The said site added that most stores in Canada have already ran out of PSP stock.
Based from the site’s observation, sales for the PSP started to pick up ever since Sony has announced the redesigned PSP.
Also, it was added that stores began running out of supplies ever since homebrew developers Noobz team have perfected the Illuminati exploit. One can’t help but wonder what our Canadian friends are thinking. Are they fearing that the new PSP will not be hacked and therefore buying the current SKUs to stay in touch with the homebrew scene?
Will this affect the Wii in general? Tell us what you think through our comments section below.
