Square Enix unveils Dragon Quest IV DS website
Here’s some very good news for those of us who just can’t wait to get our hands on the first of three DS remakes of the Dragon Quest series, namely Dragon Quest IV – the official website has just been unveiled by Square Enix, giving the game a legitimate presence on the world wide web. And it’s quite the sight to see indeed.
Unfortunately, it’s all in Japanese, so those of us without the gift for the language may find themselves lost on the blocks upon blocks of incomprehensible hiragana and katakana. But that’s not to say that the site itself isn’t worth exploring, as there’s a few nifty surprises we found while clicking through it.
First off, the website actually features in-game graphics of the map, buildings, and spritework – so if you’re eager to see more of the game, it’s definitely worth a gander. Clicking on the links and various sprites on the make shift you around the bird’s eye view of the world that the website offers, and there’s quite a few areas you’ll be sliding off to.
And last but not the least, the bright blue morning sky actually cycles into day and night – just wait for a few moments and you’ll see the sky turning brown, then read, then purple and finally night blue. It’s something to see, really.
Definitely a great update – even though it’s not actually game-related – about Square Enix’s efforts to bring back life into the highly-cherished Dragon Quest titles. You can check out the site itself by clicking on the Read link below.
