Carnival Games: Fun Festivities gameplay video

Carvinals. Fairs. Theme parks. Whatever they’re called, these temporary (sometimes permanent) establishments of amusement and enjoyment have always been a source of good childhood memories. One of its main attractions – besides the stomach-churning rides, that is – are the booths with the crazy games that reward you handsomely with stuffed animals, treats, and pets. Never had it been so fun to pay someone to be able to knock over a trio of bottles with a ball, and then get a stuffed bear for all your trouble.

Of course, not all of us have time to go to the aforementioned establishments. Thankfully, to recreate all the drama and tension of tossing a hoop over a bottle in bright and colorful 3D is Global Star Publishing‘s Carnival Games for the Nintendo Wii – featuring all the games we’ve come to know and love, as seen here in this video of the title in action.

While the graphics are cartoony and the colors bright, the game certainly looks to replicate the experience – to the level that yours truly actually could smell cotton candy wafting from his monitor screen. The ambience is there, the cheery mood is there, even the crowd noise is there – it’s practically the carnival away from the carnival, and it’s that awesome.
