Nintendo reveals Super Mario Stadium Baseball, delays Mario Kart Wii

Among the big revelations during Nintendo’s Fall Press Conference 2007 were the announcement of the new game Super Mario Stadium Baseball and the delay of Mario Kart Wii that came coupled with the introduction of bikes in the Mario Kart series. Whether you’re into some batting action or high-speed kart racing, it looks like a Nintendo Wii will deliver hours of enjoyment and lighthearted fun.

No details were revealed about Super Mario Stadium Baseball, but we’d sure love to see Mario whacking baseballs with a wrench like the plumber that he is. Of course, it’s more likely that mushrooms and turtle shells will be present. Pitch Sonic in, then we’re sold with no questions asked.

Mario Kart Wii won’t be coming out on the first half of 2008 as Nintendo previously stated. Wii owners will have to wait ’til spring 2008, but bikes have been included in the game. After watching the trailer Nintendo dished out for the press conference, we have no complaints. Nothing beats leaving your pals in the dust with a bike in a kart racing game.
