Super Smash Bros. Brawl resurrects old-school items
Most of you are probably aware that the upcoming Nintendo Wii title Super Smash Bros. Brawl is part of the long-running Super Smash Bros. video game franchise.
The official Smash Bros. DOJO! website now reports that fans of the franchise will be feeling a bit nostalgic in Brawl because some of the items that appeared in previous iterations will be making a comeback in the Wii version.

Most of you probably know by now that the upcoming Nintendo Wii title Super Smash Bros. Brawl is part of the long-running Super Smash Bros. video game franchise. The first game was introduced back in 1999 on Nintendo 64 while the last one, Super Smash Bros. Melee, appeared in 2001 on GameCube.
The official Smash Bros. DOJO! website now reports that fans of the franchise will be feeling a bit nostalgic in Brawl because some of the items that appeared in previous iterations will be making a comeback. To help you remember, we listed down a number of those items below. Take note that the list is not complete as more will be revealed in the coming updates:
- Beam Sword: It is a blade of light. This time it gets really long.
- Fire Flower: Hold down the button to release a fire burst
- Freezie: Throw it at someone to freeze them
- Home-Run Bat: Do a side-smash to hit a home run; This time, everyone has a different stance.
- Party Ball: Items pour out from inside
- Super Mushroom: When you get the mushroom, you become gigantic.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl is expected to hit Japan by December this year while fans in North America can get it in February 2008.
