Blue’s Journey, which was already released on the European and Australian Virtual Consoles, originally was released in 1990 and was later ported to NeoGeo CD. This is a side-scroller which has players trying to stop the Daruma Empire from invading and destroying the planet of Rygar.

Nintendo’s Wrecking Crew, which was originally released for the NES, has Mario running around a map trying to destroy all of the structures. This game requires a certain amount of strategy as players have to avoid the different foes running around the map while making sure they don’t accidentally destroy certain ladders which lead to higher unexplored floors.

Finally, Yoshi’s Cookie is a puzzle game which came out on the NES and Gameboy back in 1992. Players have to mix and match cookies by sliding rows of single square cookies around. This game received a pretty good reception from the gaming community and should still be able to provide old school gamers with a few hours of gameplay.

All in all these games are pretty solid additions to the Wii Virtual Console and should make quite a few of the older gamers happy.
