A lot has been unveiled recently for Square Enix‘s MMORPG Final Fantasy 11 (PC, Xbox 360) including the new classes, the Dancer and the Scholar. However, this year’s Fan Festival 2007 had more in store for Final Fantasy fans aside from the Final Fantasy 11: Wings of the Goddess expansion.
News of a new Square Enix MMORPG has been confirmed, but it’s not necessarily a Final Fantasy title. At least, not yet. According to Square Enix vice president Hiromichi Tanaka, who also serves as the producer for Final Fantasy 11, members of the Final Fantasy 11 team are already working on a new next-gen MMORPG.
Tanaka said that they haven’t decided if the new game will be used as an expansion of the existing Final Fantasy game, or if it will even be based on Final Fantasy. “We are working on it, but it hasn’t been decided that far yet,” Tanaka said.
Well, it looks like we have to wait for more info about this new MMORPG. As always, stay tuned here for more updates at QJ!
