Lost Planet Collector’s Edition to include exclusive multiplayer map
It seems fancy packaging and bonus material aren’t the only things that those who buy the Collector’s Edition of Capcom‘s Lost Planet are going to get. According to a blog post by Brian Dunn on the Lost Planet community website, the Collector’s Edition will come bundled with the 9th Lost Planet multiplayer map. The map hasn’t been released in Japan yet so U.S. and European CollectorÂ’s Edition owners will be the first to try it out.
As you can see from the screenshots below, the 9th multiplayer map will be featuring a post-apocalyptic urban setting, complete with crumbling buildings and gigantic statues. Personally, it brings to mind the words “cold war”. Blue and red teams will be differentiated not only through their clothing but through the color of the rings around the tops of the tanks they carry on their backs.
This Collector’s Edition exclusive map will also be made available to the general public, but not for another six months or so. The Collector’s Edition bonus disc also includes five Lost Planet wallpapers, including two of the exclusive map.
