CCP Games vow patch for EVE Online’s rapid-fire exploit
An exploit that players have discovered is allowing them to rapid-fire their way to victory in EVE Online‘s Starbases lately and Icelandic developers CCP Games aren’t too pleased about it. They’ve issued a stern warning in the official site to let players know that this isn’t helping the community. A new patch is said to be in the works and we hope it comes out soon.
A lot of EVE Online players were disappointed to see rapid-firing on Starbases with almost zero delay, ruining what could have been a balanced and dynamic persistent-battling MMO experience. Developers and administrators CCP Games of Iceland took notice and released this statement:
There is currently a problem with a few Starbases that makes it possible for those attacking them to increase their rate of fire so there’s almost no delay. This is an exploit and we will take appropriate action against those found using it. We are currently working on a fix and it will be deployed as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
That should serve as a warning for those trying to gain an edge with the rapid-fire exploit. Here’s hoping that a fix comes out soon to restore order in EVE Online.
