Aside from Mr. Little as director, The Tekken film production team will reportedly include Steven Paul and Benedict Carver as producers and Alan McElroy as scriptwriter. Crystal Sky Pictures is in charge of financing the film. The Tekken movie has been scheduled for production starting February 4, 2008.
Mr. Little also shared a few tidbits of the production team’s approach to the Tekken film’s story:
The film plays out as a science fiction story set in the near future, about a rebel who rises up against the Tekken Corp. to seize freedom for his people. It’s a gladiator story, but the videogame has a complicated enough storyline that it provides the template for a martial arts spectacular.
