Quartermann: Major Japanese publisher inks PSN deal
Love ’em or hate ’em, remakes are here to stay because there’s a market for it and game developers want to show us. EGM‘s Quartermann recently had a big news bit related to that and it involves Sony‘s PlayStation Network online service. If you didn’t catch the latest issue of EGM, there was a small news tidbit which might thaw Sony PlayStation 3 fans from the holiday freeze. The popular Quartermann is back and he brings something big to look forward to.
According to Quartermann, Sony has sealed a deal to have one of Japan‘s major game publishers remake classic titles for the PlayStation Network. The identity of the developer wasn’t revealed, leaving much for speculation.
A lot of us who love the PS3 are probably hoping that this is Square Enix, Konami, or perhaps even Capcom. Whoever it is, we’re looking forward to their next-gen take on past greats. We’ll update you as soon as new details are in.
