Quartermann: Major Japanese publisher inks PSN deal

Love ’em or hate ’em, remakes are here to stay because there’s a market for it and game developers want to show us. EGM‘s Quartermann recently had a big news bit related to that and it involves Sony‘s PlayStation Network online service. Will we be seeing Capcom, Square Enix, or Konami classics on the PlayStation 3? Perhaps. Head to the article for more details.

If you didn’t catch the latest issue of EGM, there was a small news tidbit which might thaw Sony PlayStation 3 fans from the holiday freeze. The popular Quartermann is back and he brings something big to look forward to.

According to Quartermann, Sony has sealed a deal to have one of Japan‘s major game publishers remake classic titles for the PlayStation Network. The identity of the developer wasn’t revealed, leaving much for speculation.

A lot of us who love the PS3 are probably hoping that this is Square Enix, Konami, or perhaps even Capcom. Whoever it is, we’re looking forward to their next-gen take on past greats. We’ll update you as soon as new details are in.
