It seems that even Queen Elizabeth herself is now captivated by the wonders of Nintendo’s Wii, giving the console a try.
The console was a gift of Kate Middleton to her boyfriend, Prince William, last Christmas, and is apparently being used by the family.
A Palace source told The People that it started when the Queen saw Prince William playing with the Wii. She thought it looked like fun and requested to play with it.
She was able to play a simple ten-pin bowling game. They noticed that she was a natural at it. At 81, her hand-eye coordination was as good as somebody half her age.
This isn’t the first hi-tech item that the Queen has come to admire. Believe it or not, she’s actually technologically savvy. She already set up her own email account years ago. In 2001, she got her first mobile phone. In 2005, she had a delivery of an iPod that stored more than 100,000 songs. And last June, she bought a Blackberry for herself and her senior staff.
