Yasushi Nirasawa, Cavia backs up AQ’s Bullet Witch for XBox360
Cavia, a studio more renowned for its part on Square Enix’s Drakenguard series, is tasked as the developer of the action adventure Bullet Witch scheduled for release on June 29 in Japan. The title is set to open the floodways between Japanese publisher AQ Interactive and XBox360 after the former’s promise to support the latter.
Meanwhile, artist Yasushi Nirasawa takes the helm of monster-creation and designing. Nirasawa has a series of movie creature-designing stints under his belt such as Godzilla: Final Wars (2004), Hellboy (2004), and Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001). He is primarily responsible for the gore and goth of this upcoming title.
Forward time to 2013, Bullet Witch takes place in an eerie, bleak environment. Humans face extinction due to the demons that has become Earth’s most dominant creature. The player enters the fold as a witch named Alicia, toting a broom-shaped gun (before, sword-shaped guns, now this, what’s next? sandwich-appearing guns? what ever happened to gun-appearing guns?!), he/she will then try to take down the demons and save mankind. Gamers will also be able to download additional realms and special costumes via Xbox Live.Aside from Bullet Witch, AQ Interactive has two other projects lined up for the Xbox 360 namely Cry On and Vampire Rain.
