First Don King Presents: Prizefighter official screens revealed

It’s official: boxing fans now have something to look forward to from 2K Sports‘ corner. Actual screenshots of Don King Presents: Prizefighter (Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, DS) are now out, and we’re not talking about those ones which were taken from an early build. Not long after the promise of showing everyone how the latest build of Don King Presents: Prizefighter (Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, DS) is shaping up, 2K Sports has unleashed screenshots of the recently announced boxing title’s Xbox 360 version.

Unlike what leaked screenshots of the game’s early build showed us, boxers this time have noticeably less glossy skin. We do enjoy fighters sweating when they go mano y mano, but the character models we saw before seem to be covered in plastic. Fortunately, 2K Sports’ first batch of ring action screens look more realistic.

Among the images is one with the actual Don King in it. 2K Sports did say Prizefighter will be an in-depth, documentary-style boxing game, so we’re guessing it will have more footage of the popular boxing promoter as he takes us through what’s touted as “the deepest, most authentic and entertaining experience.”

Don King Presents: Prizefighter is expected to see its release in spring 2008. While you wait until you get your hands on some pounding action, we’ll keep our eyes peeled for updates so watch this space!
