2K Games: Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution for Wii postponed
If you were hoping to grab a copy of Firaxis’ Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution for the Wii within the next few months, we’ve got some bad news. Publisher 2K Games has recently announced that the game’s development has been put on hold. The company’s explanation is available in the full article.
The last time publisher 2K Games updated regarding Sid Meier‘s Civilization Revolution, it was to announce the game’s presence at last year’s E for All Expo.
Now, if you’ve been wondering how development’s been doing for the Wii port lately, we’ve come across some rather bad news: 2K Games has confirmed that Civilization Revolution for Nintendo’s console has been postponed. Quoting the company’s spokesman regarding the reason for the hold order:
Development for the Wii version of Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution is currently on hold. We are focusing our attention on creating the best possible Civilization experience for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo DS platforms.
That said, the game’s expected to be released on its other platforms within this year. We’ll let you know if any new details are released regarding this matter in the near future.
