Kid Icarus: No cheats allowed

For many of the Wii fans, one memorable thing about games was their cheats. And while we may frown upon them today, most of us will remember the time when unlocking our favorite title’s passwords (maybe via Game Shark) was oftentimes as fun as beating the game itself. Now, for the guys who wanted to try out some of their old cheats for Kid Icarus for the Virtual Console, they may be somewhat disappointed – see why in the screenshot:

As seen, it seems that Nintendo has gone and neutered removed the password capability from Kid Icarus‘ VC port, effectively meaning that players won’t have much of a choice outside playing through “fairly.”

This is one of several few port-related fixes we’ve seen as of late. And yes, that’s quit a lot of Wii points on the screenshot – perhaps being saved up for the other must-have (and rather expensive) VC titles due out.
