DS Web Browser set for June in Japan
Rumor has it that the Nintendo DS Web Browser may be closer to release than we think. According to a few sources the browser may well see a release in Japan as early as June, with a launch in the United States expected to follow around December. Opera Software announced that they would deliver a Web Browser for the Nintendo DS platform back in February.
The move will see Nintendo DS users able to surf the internet from their systems using the Opera browser. The Opera browser will be sold on a DS cart and it should be as simple as popping the cart into your Nintendo DS and connecting to a wi-fi network. Given the touch screen keyboard function, this will probably make DS web browsing a step ahead of the PSP, which does it wonderfully at the moment, but for the lack of the much discussed PSP keyboard.
