Aside from the rumored Riddick sequel that’s still in the dark, it looks like Starbreeze Studios has set its sights on another game for this 2008.
The developer has recently sent word that it has formed a partnership with Electronic Arts to reinvent one of the publisher’s classic titles for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
Neither group has disclosed what game will be getting revamped, although it’s currently tagged as Project RedLime. Starbreeze Studios CEO Johan Kristiansson had this to say regarding the news:
WeÂ’re already deep in development on Project RedLime and the team at EA is giving us the time we need to perfect our vision. WeÂ’re excited to bring a new perspective and gameplay innovation to this beloved fiction.
Given that Starbreeze’s more recent projects include The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, and The Darkness (PS3, Xbox 360), could they be working on another shooter? We’re not sure, although more info is expected to be available in the coming months.
We’ll let you know if we receive any updates on this matter.
