Sony has finally announced the arrival of the much awaited firmware 2.41 for the PlayStation 3. The new update aims to address the various freezing problems encountered when FW 2.40 was first released. Find out more about this update after the jump.
If you were one of the few unfortunate PlayStation 3 owners who had problems with last week’s firmware update 2.40, Sony has finally announced the release of the much awaited 2.41 fix. It looks like the rumor about the update reaching us by midweek proved itself true this time.
As many of you already know, the latest update aimed to address the various freezing problems encountered when FW 2.40 was first released. Eric we, Director of PlayStation Network Operations, earlier announced that the new firmware update 2.41 should be up and running very soon.
Lempel also extended Sony’s apologies to the PlayStation community for any inconvenience they experienced with the near-fatal glitch. In any case, you’d better fire up your console and update your system (we’ve already done so on our own console and it’s all good).
Hopefully, we won’t be seeing any more problems thanks to this fixer-upper from Sony. Check back with us again just in case we get more updates regarding the new firmware 2.41 update.
